In fact, our slogan of “At Your Service” represents the old-time gas station attendants who went above and beyond in providing service. Although we work in a high-tech industry in a rapidly changing environment, we still believe that good service never goes out of style.
History
Founded in 1978 by Dick Harpster, Capital Electric Wire & Cable Co. began by selling exclusively to the Industrial and Utility market, initially providing power cable, tray cable, cordage and lead wires.
In 1985, Capital Electric entered the communications market and began providing a variety of Network/Datacom products and services.
In 1994, Dick Harpster retired and his son, Mike Harpster, became President. “Like father, like son,” Mike has continued Dick’s commitment to providing exceptional products, service and value.
From its humble beginnings in Dick’s garage to its current 12,000-square-foot headquarters in Pewaukee, Wis., Capital Electric has witnessed incredible change in the wire and cable industry. We have evolved along with it, adapting to the industry and in direct response to our customers’ needs.
Yet despite all the change and growth over the past three decades, one thing has remained the same: we are dedicated to being… At Your Service.
